The Kasilof Regional Historical Association was founded in 1986.

Our primary objective is to collect and disseminate historical information about our area on the Kenai Peninsula. It is our desire to preserve our pioneer sites, artifacts, historic buildings, monuments and markers. We do this through opening our facility to the public for tours, showcasing our collections and offering ourselves as a research facility.

We host programs the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. The public is encouraged to attend as we offer a variety of subjects and media presentations from various, homesteaders, old timers and historians alike.

Our cabin restoration and relocation group works through the winter, every Wednesday, restoring our historic cabins so that the public may enjoy them once again. Anyone - regardless of experience - is invited to participate every Wednesday from 11 – 4 p.m. on the KHRA museum grounds.

Our Quarterly newsletter is full of historical facts, stories and treasures along with current updates on our progress at the museum. Our newsletter is sent to our members as a thank you for their support.

In most instances the above goals, endeavors and programs are service by our own money, labor and time. We appreciate, and depend, on your donations by becoming a member or volunteering in small ways. Thank you.
